Thanks man. Just got back in town yesterday and finally got to tool around with the Wacom tablet Leanne got me for my b-day. Doodled with some Street Fighter characters and had a good time. This type of graphic shit will probably be done digitally going forward... fun stuff. Thanks for getting me addicted to your tablet.
Oh coarse. When was your birthday anyways? If it had passed recently, happy birthday! Yeah the tablet is rad! Makes 'shopping easier for sure. What street fighter characters are you drawing? If you are taking requests, do Vega. He has always been my main, cause he is an asshole. Speaking of photoshop, would you like a copy? Just acquired cs6, brand spanking new.
So when do you think you will be confortable enough with the tablet and it's functions to do the type of work that you normally do, totally digitally?
Haha. My birthday was last Thursday. Thanks for the wishes.
Digging the tablet so far. Can't wait to play with it more- especially with the latest PS incarnation.
So I've been playing the port of SFII on the iPhone and getting crazy nostalgic and realizing how great the character designs were. I drew a quick sketch of Ryu. Fun shit.
As far as the future... I have no idea. I think it's a challenge of actually throwing myself into PS and learning to do it. I know a lot of great artists that can mimic the styles and paint textures in PS that they are able to accomplish in traditional media- so who knows. I think in the interim it will probably be a way to incorporate both traditional and digital mediums into something new. I really admire [link] and the way he is able to meld traditional and digital. That's kinda the space I'd like to live in at some point.
Also you will have to decide which program you want to use, photoshop or illustrator. They are both different beasts. With illustrator being vector based, your drawing can be theoretically be enlarged to any size without distortion. I have never used it myself, so I have no idea how it works. But I have access to lynda.com lessons, which what I used to learn how to use photoshop (as much as I can, though I am no master at it). Let me know what you need to get started.

We'll see. It's a new medium, new challenge!
